Is Config Manager 2012R2 throttled by default.

Question
-
Does anyone know if SCCM 2012 R2 has built in throttling set by default as we are sending packages to a Secondary Site in the States over a 20mb link and it seems to average 1.7gb per hour but is only ever using about 30 - 40 % of the link. I found with SCCM 2007 it would max the line out. I have checked in the reg for BITS settings and nothing is set and also checked Group Policy and again nothing is set in there. As we are sending to a Site Server the Rate Limits and Schedule tabs are not present so I haven't set anything there either. Any help or ideas are gratefully received.

No, there is not built in throttling. Check the logs to see what is going on.

Log files are:
- distmgr.log: site to site
- PkgXferMgr.log: site server to remote DP
when throttled, you should see "Yield # seconds due to bandwidth control, the current sending rate is ## percent, the estimated bandwidth is ### bytes per second"

Just check the DP properties 'Rate Limits' tab to see if anyone has limited bandwidth.
