WDP issue after imaging machines RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Proceeding forward, I setup a machine with a base image. Ran sysprep, and "ghosted" (actually udp-cast) the image to a new machine with the same hardware. Went through mini-setup, and successfully activated both.  I then attempted to turn on WDP.  On the machine which I created the image from, WDP was not successful but it IS on the "ghosted" machine.

The few other differences of the machines is that the base machine has a wireless NIC in it, is on the Internet, and has a locked restricted profile on it, while the ghosted machine is not networked, does not have a wireless NIC, and I did not lock or heavily restrict the limited profile on it.

In Event viewer it says that: WDP was enabled, building cache file, and WDP was disabled.

Any help would be appreciated, I will currently be proceeding to have the working machine be as close to its partner as I can, by importing the profile settings and installing the wireless NIC.

    Thanks,
