Unable to display this Web Part error on Home page RRS feed

  • Once in a while i get following error on the home page, How to resolve this ?

    Unable to display this Web Part. To troubleshoot the problem, open this Web page in a Windows SharePoint Services-compatible HTML editor such as Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer. If the problem persists, contact your Web server administrator.

    " usually i do edit page & publish then error goes away"

  • Hello David,

    Sorry for late reply & thanks for the links.

    This error happen on our home page on the top of the pictures light box webpart. This happens once in a while & i am not sure what is the exact reason for the error.

    But when i publish the page, the error disappears. I also observed this error happens when i deploy any solution or XSN templates to Sharepoint Farm.

    We need more details to find out the reason and solution.

    I suggest you to turn on verbose mode of logging and then reproduce this error.This will provide maximum details.

    My first thought is that there is some kind of memory leak. Run SPDisposeCheck to see for memory leak. When you deploy a solution, IIS is getting reset, which is probably causing this error to show up for the first time. Is this a SP2010?
