I am experiencing an issue where the Publishing server isn't returning updated publishing information to the client.
I have:
- App-V Server 5.0 SP1 (All components (inc SQL) on one server, seperate ports for server components, 8080 for Management, 8081 for Publishing and 8082 for Reporting.) Default website stopped.
- App-V Client 5.01 SP2
I have checked the following page but I am not getting any errors in the event log or reported after running 'sync-appvpublishingserver 1': http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2778168?wa=wsignin1.0
I am testing from a client using IE. e.g. http://PubServer:8081/ and using 'sync-appvpublishingserver'. Although I find that using IE is more consistent.
Issue:
Start testing: No packages published in PubServer
1. On PubServer: Publish a package to a group the user is already a member of (as the user is already logged into the Client).
2. From Client: Use IE (as mentioned above), or 'sync-appvpublishingserver 1' (tried on 2 different PC's using the IE method - 1 is on the Domain and 1 isn't)
Result: Empty XML in IE and / or No apps published.
If I restart the IIS Publishing Service or the Publishing Service AppPool on the Publishing server after I have Published or UnPublished an application, the publishing / unpublishing works correctly.
Any ideas why this could be?
