The drive protected by bitlocker drive encryption is already unlocked RRS feed

  • Question

  • Issue: start PC. Click on E: drive and enter bitlocker password and i get the message above. Only just started and I've always had bitlocker enabled. I do not have auto unlock enabled.

Often have to reboot several times before i can enter the password and it actually unlocks the drive

    Anyone any ideas?

  • Hi Steve,

Is it available to access the E drive if you not put in any password?

Please check if you have ticked "Automatically unlock on this computer from now on" under password input space. Then check if you have turned on "Turn on auto unlock" through Control Panel\System and Security\Bitlocker Drive Encryption.

If the issue persists, we could turn off Bitlocker and turn on again to check if the same issue occur.
