Basic Zero Compression Question

In the example that you gave, there is only room for one block of zeros, and therefore only one block is recognized when the double colon is read.

But you can test with the OOTB feature "Export To Excel" in the list view Ribbon Menu, after clicking it, it will export to excel with zeros after ...

Dividing by Zero

Hi Sean, using a combination of NULLIF and COALESCE, as per Ken's reply is the best solution.

Solution for Divide By Zero

If you want to use NULLIF to prevent Division By Zero errors (my preferred approach), then you need to "nullif" every denominator.
