  • ConfigMgr Duplicate GUID information:

The first thing we are going to do is create a collection with the following three queries:

Creating a Collection of Clients with Duplicate GUIDs

Create a collection with three membership rules using the following three WQL queries. These queries check various tables in the SMS site database for duplicate GUIDs.

    ·         Query 1:

    select SMS_R_System.ResourceID,SMS_R_System.ResourceType,SMS_R_System.Name,SMS_R_System.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_System.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_System.Client from SMS_R_System join SMS_GH_System_System on SMS_R_System.ResourceID = SMS_GH_System_System.ResourceID where SMS_R_System.Name <> SMS_GH_System_System.Name

    ·         Query 2:

    select SMS_R_System.ResourceID,SMS_R_System.ResourceType,SMS_R_System.Name,SMS_R_System.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_System.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_System.Client from SMS_R_System join SMS_G_System_System on SMS_R_System.ResourceID = SMS_G_System_System.ResourceID where SMS_R_System.Name <> SMS_G_System_System.Name

    ·         Query 3:

    select SMS_R_System.ResourceID,SMS_R_System.ResourceType,SMS_R_System.Name,SMS_R_System.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_System.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_System.Client from SMS_R_System where SMS_R_System.ResourceID  in (select SMS_GH_System_System.ResourceID from SMS_G_System_System join SMS_GH_System_System on SMS_G_System_System.ResourceID = SMS_GH_System_System.ResourceID where SMS_G_System_System.Name <> SMS_GH_System_System.Name)

The details are documented in the following whitepaper:

Managing Duplicate Globally Unique Identifiers in Microsoft Systems Management Server 2003

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=aaf6f10d-bd84-405e-9af3-b48ced1d7f2d&displaylang=en

Note: The above document is for SMS 2003.

The one difference worth noting is that for a ConfigMgr client you use ccmdelcert.exe instead of TranGUID.exe.

    Here are the steps:

You can perform these steps from a system that you are logged into with an account that has admin rights to the user’s system.

    1.       Put ccmdelcert.exe and psexec.exe in the same directory (like c:\temp)

    2.       Go to a cmd prompt and cd to c:\temp and type the following command:

    3.       psexec \\Client net stop ccmexec

    4.       psexec \\ Client –c ccmdelcert.exe

    5.       psexec \\Client net start ccmexec

You could also put the clients in an input file for PSExec.

Espero te funcione a mi me funciono.

    ccmclean.exe /client /q /logdir:c:\
    sleep 30
    rd /s /q %SystemRoot%\system32\ccmsetup
    rd /s /q %SystemRoot%\system32\CCM
    del %SystemRoot%\smscfg.ini
    reg delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS

    Ya me contaras.
