  Entiendo que se trata de una instalación dual, Windows 7 y 8 instalados en el mismo PC.

  En ese caso puede usar el procedimiento que indica este articulo:

  Procedure for hiding Vista volumes on a multi-boot system with both XP and Vista using
  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926185

  Aunque Se refiere a Vista y XP aplica tambien a cualquier tipo de combinación dual con Windows 8.

  Pongo el original en ingles ya que la traducción automatica es bastante mala.

  Pero, ¿en cuál registro de los de abajoo debo escribir "Offline" recordando que es Windows 7? (El Windows 8 está en el disco F:). Los datos que tienen los registros son binarios y me da un poco de miedo reemplazarlos. Slds. Gustavo.<o:p></o:p>

  ¡Lo que está en esa clave por defecto no se debe tocar a menos que se quiera que no arranque Windows!

  Dentro de la clave:

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices\

  Debes crear una nueva sub-clave con el nombre Offline si no existe. Dentro de ella se creará un nuevo valor DWORD con el nombre DosDevices\X:

  (Sustituye la letra X por la que tenga la unidad donde esta instalado Windows 8)

  Quiero decir, la letra que tenga viendo esa unidad desde Windows7.

  Gracias Iván por tu respuesta. Finalmente instalé un Windows 7 Professional en lugar del Windows 8 en el disco espejado y dejó de ser atacar por el Windows 7 de trabajo. La opción de setar Offline el disco del W8 me hacía dudar por que yo pensaba que no iba a poder tenerlo constantemente actualizado a través de las rutinas de backup que tengo programadas ya que iba a estar accesible.

  Al aplicar las entradas del registro del articulo de la KB la unidad solo seria invisible para la otra instalación. Para el resto de los equipos del la red o cualquier otra funcion estaría funcional, cuando estuviese arrancado el sistema.
