    I have recently install dpm2010 in Win2008R2 in order to work with a Dell Power Vault 124T.

    I can see the library, i can see the slots, the tapes ... I can do inventory, cleaning...

    But when I create a protection group with short term protection on tape, at the moment of doing the work, always i receive the same message, The tape is write protected.

    Some tips please?

    the tape is free? after performing an inventory.
    DPM can not write to tape not expired.
    You would have to, make sure the tape is not physically write-protected and that the tape does not contain information not expired.
