Outlook is a 32bit application and Outlook runs on a WOW layer on 64bit operating system. The 32-bit outlook.exe sets the registry key in 32-bit wow registry HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Clients\Mail and it cannot be used by the 64bit Fax and Scan. So, we cannot
launch the Outlook Contact list directly in Windows Fax in Windows 7 64 bit. The same behavior can be seen in Windows Vista 64bit and Windows XP 64bit. Also, the MAPI used is 32 bit.
Therefore, when we launch Contacts in Windows Fax and Scan on 64bit Windows 7, we will not see the Outlook contact list.
As you could see, the workaround will be to export the contact list from Outlook and import it to Windows Address Book.
Mi ingles no es muy bueno pero entiendo que en Windows 7 y vista de 64Bit utilizando Outlook a 32 bit no es compatible con fax a 64bit, he probado un Windows 7 a 32 bit y todo funciona correctamente, solo me falta probar Outlook a 64bit.
De todas formas me ha surgido otro problema tanto en Windows 7 a 32/64 bit, cuando mando un fax, en el asistente relleno los datos, para; asunto; notas de la portada y el aparto en blanco para escribir cualquier cosa del fax, cunado le doy a enviar me
da un error de script como los de Internet Explorer, en todos los equipos tengo instalada la ultima versión la IE9, si la desístalo y dejo la 8 todo solucionado, pero el cliente quiere utilizar la 9, no se si alguien me puede ayudar.
