We have our own private cloud formed by 3 forrests, 2 of them are used to create linked mailboxes, therefore all present accounts are disabled and they only replicate against the
DC to get validation and GPO´s. That is up and running perfectly.
The remaining forrest is configured with user mailboxes and it has it´s accounts enabled and fully configured.
The main issue is the following,
There´s an installed Lync Server 2010, but as there is only one, it creates a Domain Federation which ends up with a common list letting users from Forrest A talk to users from
Forrest B.
Is there a way of making some kind of filter or segmentation of users in order not to let them accross Forrests?Or should I install a Lync Server per Forrest?
In case Lync Server per Forrest is the correct way, will the 3 of them be able to share the same exchange server 2010? Would it be necessary to set up an Edge server for each Lync
server?
Thank you.
