Autodiscover _ SCP record for two resource forest

    Question

  • Hi,

Is it possible to have one account forest with few users having their mailboxes linked to one resource forest and rest of them linked to another resource forest.

How would I configure SCP for autodiscover to work correctly in this scenario.

  • Your question has two parts:

    1.       Can I have a single account forest link to multiple resource forests?

    a.       Yes, though provisioning and directory sync may not be fun.

    2.       How do I make autodiscover work in this scenario

    a.       See the MultipleExchangeDeployments switch here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998832.aspx

    Also see:

You can use the Shell to configure the Autodiscover service when your Microsoft Exchange deployment has two or more trusted forests

  • Hello,

Yes, we can export the autodiscover SCP record from source forest to the target forest.

For more reference, please check the autodiscover white paper below. It discusses several scenarios when using autodiscover cross the forests.

    Thanks,
