Network Apps RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have several applications that run exe's from network shares, whilst naturally requiring components to be installed locally. I am just wondering what is the best way (best practise approach) to sequence these types of apps?

Is it best to map a drive prior to sequencing and then, following the monitoring/capture of the locally installed components, add in the EXE from the mapped drive when prompted for by the wizard?, or edit the filename within the OSD to point to the correct network location, etc....?

Apologies if this question has been previously posted and answered.

    Thanks!

  • Hello,

Usually what I do is to install the components required and just make a shortcut on the .exe if its located on a FS.
I try to never have anything captured on the network drive.
