  • Hi,

Is your DNS server configured in AD environment? Is it a DC?

And you can try to setup a reverse lookup zone for your local network.

Hope this can help you, if you have anything unclear, please let me know.

    Have a nice day!

  • Hi,

Please run the command: ipconfig/all and upload the result.

And please run the dcdiag /test dns, and post any errors

Due to that a simple query will cause the DNS server to look into its own cache for an answer to your query, if it doesn't have an answer it will refer you to one of the root hint servers.

Also check the root hints tab, is it populated?

Hope this can help you, if you have anything unclear, please let me know.

    Have a nice day!
