Login box for pfmailbox pops up for every user now RRS feed

  • Question

  • One of our guys added a new tenant using powershell commands.

Something went wrong and now when you log in to Outlook it pops up and asks you for a username and password for the public folder account.  Basically, same login box as to the email account but it says "pfmailbox@newdomain.com".  Pfmailbox is the disabled mailbox for the public folders.

It also updated several groups that used "ourdomain.loc" to add a new email account name "accountname@newdomain.com".

Its like it created a new email address policy that applied to the default server accounts.

I am not sure how to go about to resolve that so I am asking for help.

Can someone please guide me in resolving this problem.

    The commands ran is below.

    New-AcceptedDomain -Name "Wildcattraffic" -DomainName Wildcattraffic.com -DomainType:Authoritative

New-GlobalAddressList -Name "Wildcattraffic – GAL" -ConditionalCustomAttribute1 "Wildcattraffic" -IncludedRecipients MailboxUsers -RecipientContainer "smart-mail.loc/tenants/Wildcattraffic"

New-AddressList -Name "Wildcattraffic – All Rooms" -RecipientFilter "(CustomAttribute1 -eq 'Wildcattraffic') -and (RecipientDisplayType -eq 'ConferenceRoomMailbox')" -RecipientContainer "smart-mail.loc/tenants/Wildcattraffic"

New-AddressList -Name "Wildcattraffic – All Users" -RecipientFilter "(CustomAttribute1 -eq 'Wildcattraffic') -and (ObjectClass -eq 'User')" -RecipientContainer "smart-mail.loc/tenants/Wildcattraffic"

New-AddressList -Name "Wildcattraffic – All Contacts" -RecipientFilter "(CustomAttribute1 -eq 'Wildcattraffic') -and (ObjectClass -eq 'Contact')" -RecipientContainer "smart-mail.loc/tenants/Wildcattraffic"

New-AddressList -Name "Wildcattraffic – All Groups" -RecipientFilter "(CustomAttribute1 -eq 'Wildcattraffic') -and (ObjectClass -eq 'Group')" -RecipientContainer "smart-mail.loc/tenants/Wildcattraffic"

New-OfflineAddressBook -Name "Wildcattraffic" -AddressLists "Wildcattraffic – GAL"

Creating EAP did with below commands did not work, use Exchange Admin Center

***Below command returned ">>". Cntrl+c to exit
New-EmailAddressPolicy -Name "Wildcattraffic – EAP" -RecipientContainer "smart-mail.loc/tenants/Wildcattraffic"" -IncludedRecipients "AllRecipients" -ConditionalCustomAttribute1 "Wildcattraffic" -EnabledEmailAddressTemplates "SMTP:%g.%s@Wildcattraffic.com","smtp:%m@Wildcattraffic.com" -EnabledPrimarySMTPAddressTemplate "SMTP:%g.%s@Wildcattraffic.com"

    *** Below command returned error

These commands worked once EAP was created in EAC.
    Set-EmailAddressPolicy -Identity "Wildcattraffic - EAP" -EnabledPrimarySMTPAddressTemplate "SMTP:%g@Wildcattraffic.com"

New-AddressBookPolicy -Name "Wildcattraffic" -AddressLists "Wildcattraffic – All Users", "Wildcattraffic – All Contacts", "Wildcattraffic – All Groups" -GlobalAddressList "Wildcattraffic – GAL" -OfflineAddressBook "Wildcattraffic" -RoomList "Wildcattraffic – All Rooms"
