How to install Windows 2k & Windows 7 on one SATA HDD?

    Question

  • I want to install Windows 2000 and Windows 7 on one HDD.
On WD1200JB (PATA), there was OK, but on my new WD1003FZEX (SATA) I encountering a problem. Motherboard: MSI 770-g45.
First I've intalled Windows 2000 (on 10GB space) and there was fine. Next I've installed Windows 7 and Windows 7 was OK. However Windows 2000 has crashed. About half progres bar on start screen I've get INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE error.
Is it possible to install theese 2 systems on my new disk?

  • Hi,

It seems you need to install Windows 7 first in the drive, then install Windows 2000 and set dual boot.

You could follow the link below to set dual boot for Windows 2000 with Windows 7.

Also, please pay attention to the system requirement for the hardware.

    Hope that can help you.

    Best Regards
