Exchange 2010 - error access denied in getowavirtualdirectory

    Question

  • Hi,

I'm testing Exchange 2010 to migrate from my exchange 2007. When I try to access to OWA virtual directory, and ActiveSync tab in the EMC I receive an access denied error message.

In event viewer the error is:

  • Are you trying to access the 2007 OWA settings from 2010 EMC?  Can you add the "Exchange Trusted Subsystem" AD group to the local administrators group on the Exch 2007 server?

  • I've already added the Exchange Trusted Subsystem in the Exchange Server 2007, and i can read the OWA virtual directory from those server, but I cant read the OWA virtual Directory from my own Exchange Server 2010!

In fact, I can't access to my email via ActiveSync because these error, when I try to Syncronize my movil device with the server I receive an error of sinchronization error.

  • Can you run BPA from the 2010 server and report any errors or warnings?

  • Hi Raulito,

    Any updates on your issue?

Can you run the cmdlet Get-OwaVirtualDirectory ?

After you add the Exchange Trusted Subsystem to the local administrator of all the Exchange 2007 servers, did you reboot the servers?
