Active Sync Issues with IOS and Android when user changes Password Exchange 2010


  • Hi, 

    We have a password expiration policy that states users must change their password every 30 days. When they do change their password they also update their activesync devices (iPads,iPhones,Android etc) with their new password. However, the password does not seem to work on the mobile device and mail stops being synced.

    Yet if they login to the workstations with the new password it logs in fine. If an administrator resets their password in ADUC then they are able to use this password for their activesync devices no problem

    Issue appears to be only when the user resets their password.

    We have Server 2008 R2 Domain with Exchange 2010 SP1

    Any ideas as to why this happens?
