UM will typically only do a SIP Notify to the primary EUM address of the user. If Lync is pulling/polling for the light and you are only trying to get the Avaya phone to light the MWI, then UM disable the user. Then UM enable them in the tel
uri UM Dial Plan (so this becomes their primary EUM). Then add the sip uri UM Dial Plan as their secondary EUM address.
This is assuming MWI functions on your tel uri UM Dial Plan. And not having the sip uri UM Dial Plan set as the primary EUM address makes Lync 2010 act a bit differently.
If you can't get this to function the way you want you may have to get a 3rd party MWI product to do what you want.
