  • Question

  • Hello everyone,

I come here with a problem that generates me the installation of SQL Server 2014, the message shows me the following errors:

    - Database Engine Services

    - SQL Server Replication

And try various methods that are seen after googling, but still can not get to start the service. come to you in search of a solution, I've uninstalled and installed, I tried downloading the .exe again. Please let me know if more information is needed.

I have another question, what is the correct method for a complete uninstall SQL Server? in some forums mention Remove all SQL Server components from 'Programs and Features' but what are these?

    Beforehand thank you very much

    Regards!!

  • Hello,

Please try changing the SQL Server service account to Local System or read the following article for more solutions/workarounds.

  • Hi VictorVal,

Firstly, could you please share the detailed log to us for analysis? You can get the log from ‘C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\120\Setup Bootstrap\Log\20160714_130236\Detail.txt’.

SQL Server components include the following parts: SQL Server Database Engine(SQL Server Replication, Data Quality Services), Analysis Services, Reporting Services, Integration Services, Master Data Services, Client Tools SDK, Management Tools, Distributed Replay Controller, Data Quality Client, Client Tools Connectivity, Documentation Components.

At normal conditions, you can uninstall SQL Server by going to 'Programs and Features', right-clicking Microsoft SQL Server **** and selecting Uninstall, clicking Remove. On the Ready to Remove page, review the list of SQL Server components that will be uninstalled, then click Remove to begin uninstalling. If SQL Server is not uninstalled completely using this method, you need to remove registry following the steps in the link that Alberto provides.

    Regards,
    Teige
