Exchange 2010 Distribution Group RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a way to set up Distribution Groups in Exchange 2010 where the sender does not receive an email to themselves? So if User 1,2,3 are on a distribution list. User 1 Send an email to the group - can I set it up so that the originator of that group does not get the email they are sending in their inbox. Like a list serv? User 1 would not get a copy of the email sent to themselves.

    Thanks,

    SJMP

  • If User 1 is part of the DL, then they will receive the email.

Why not create a rule to delete the message for this situation....

  • Hi SJM,

    Any udpate for your issue?
    It is expected.
If you really want to do it, I think it maybe a good way that making rule on the outlook end, or you could use new-inboxrule on the server side for the users.

    Regards!
