System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection doesn't install. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have installed Windows Server 2012 Essentials on a machine, and the SQL server 2012 sp1 Standard in this server. When I am trying to install System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection, in the window I have to give sql server to create a database I get an error that it needs SQL Server cumulative update 2. I tried to get this cu2 and install it but can't install.

    What am I doing wrong?

The EP I am trying to install is "mu_system_center_2012_configuration_manager_and_endpoint_protection_with_sp1_x86_x64_dvd_1360357".

  • The supported configs are listed here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg682077.aspx#BKMK_SupConfigSQLDBconfig
"SQL server 2012 sp1" --> is not supported.

  • Another question about this configuration. 2012 server Essential doesn't have WSUS and I can't install the WSUS 3.0sp2 because of incompatibility.

So, I am thinking installing the SC2012EP to another machine with windows 2012 standard, but the first machine mentioned above is the domain controller. Can I do this? Any other suggestions?
