How you can send collected data from SCOM to Log Analytics

  Hi

  You can send data to Log Analytics of course, but as far as I know you require a workspace in Azure to collect it. Here's the process:

  Hello Adrian,

  Yes you can send collected data from SCOM to Log Analytics in Microsoft Azure, as Sameer mentioned you will need a Log Analytics workspace (previously OMS workspace) as that is where the data will be stored.

  The link mentioned by Sameer will give a good overview, it also shows step-by-step how to connect your SCOM environment to the Log Analytics.

  Also make sure to check the Azure Monitor pricing calculator before starting to use Log Analytics so that you can evaluate the price in beforehand.

  However, to answer your question more specifically, you can't forward any perf counter that is already configured in a MP without configuring it as well in log analytics.
