Hi,
As I understand, you want to know about SharePoint BLOBS.
Binary large object (BLOB) is SharePoint content stored in binary data, SQL Server offers less of a gain for binary data than for structured data, so your server farm might gain cost savings by using an external data store to contain your binary data files.
If you find yourself in a scenario that requires supporting large content databases, you’re likely to be considering BLOB externalization as part of your storage optimization efforts. The article is about advantages and disadvantages of using BOLBS.

Several of those article are for 2010 and due to the changes to the storage subsystem in 2013 are potentially misleading for 2013.

What do you mean by BLOB?
The technical meaning is 'Binary Large Object', which means anything that's digital and large.
In SharePoint you used to see a lot of Remote Blob Storage (RBS) or in older systems External Blob Storage (EBS). In 2013 RBS can still be implemented but it's lost a lot of it's former advantages and is harder to do well.
What do you mean by Blob Storage and what do you think you'll get out of it? The short version is that if you have to ask any/the question then you probably don't want it.
