OWA 2010 Error--An unexpected error as occured and your request couldn't be handled RRS feed

  • Users are reporting this error message on their Inbox when they try to open a message with OWA.

    "An unexpected error as occured and your request couldn't be handled" 

    This happend on the Inbox and if you try to create a new message with OWA.  Message in other folders can be opened.

    I have tried to adjust the permissions on the Virtual Directories with no channge.  I had to change the bindings to accomodate both port 80 and 443. 

    Exchange 2010 SP1--upgraded 8/25

    Windows Server 2008 R2

     

     Additional Information

    My Exchange Server version is 14.01.218.013

    My OWA version is 14.1.218.15

    CAS/HUB/Mailbox are all on a single server 14.1 Build 218.15

    UM is not enabled.

    First I'd like to clarify some information with you:

    1. How many Exchange Servers in your network?

    2. How many CAS servers in  your network?

    3. Have you change the defalut port(80/443) for OWA? Why?

    4. Does this issue occur to all the OWA users?

    5. Does this issue occur only after you applied sp1 to your Exchange Server?

    6. Please try to check application log from event viewer and then post the error event here for further troubleshootings.

    Besides, I recommned you to run ExBPA to have a health scan and then check the report.

  • 1 exchange server with all roles

    did not chage any default ports

    this occurs with all OWA users

    this happend after SP1 was installed

    I willl run the ExBPA and post error message here.
