Meeting invites goes to deleted items RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey

We have an external system sending mail invites to our users (as them self)

When the users recieve the invites - it goes directly into the deleted items folder. (because Outlook "thinks" the user is the meeting planner)

Is it possible to change this behavior? (so the invite goes to the inbox) - (not a rule on every mailbox)

  • Hello.

How To Prevent Outlook From Deleting Meeting Request When Responding?

    or

    Registry key :

This meeting request email deletion is controlled by the registry key DeleteWhenRespond. In Outlook 2007, navigate to the  following path.

    HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice12.0OutlookPreferences

Under the above key, create a new registry value of type REG_DWORD and name it DeleteWhenRespond.  Set its value to 0.

For Outlook 2010, you need to create the key under the below node.

    HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice14.0Outlookpreferences
