Outlook 2011+shared calendars+2 AD sites? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

User mailbox was migrated from Exchange 2007sp3 site A to Exchange 2010sp2 site B.

Outlook 2011 Mac user cannot access shared calendars[rooms] which are still on Exchange 2007.

No problems with Outlook 2007/2010 on PCs.

Mac user is getting a permission error when trying to connect to a shared calendar. Even if full access permissions given.

Is this to do with proxy/redirection missing config? Running 2007 internet facing CAS server in site A and 2010 CAS internet facing in site B. So proxy/redirection has never been my concern.

    Many thanks,

  • What is the complete error message?  Are these two sites in the same Exchange organization?

  • Hi Pawel,

    It is by design.

Exchange Web Services can only allow delegate access if both the principal's mailbox and the delegate's mailbox are on a computer that is running Exchange 2010.

  • Same organization. "Outlook cannot open the folder. You do not have permission to open this folder. Contact Meeting Room for permission."

  • Thanks Fiona.

Will migrate the meeting room [calendars] mailboxes together with Mac users mailboxes.
