new-exportmailboxrequest take too long time to start RRS feed

  • Question

I read above article and prepared export.

I did new-exportmailboxrequest and request was successfully queued.

But it took too long time that status changed to InProgress.

    Why that ?

  • Hi,

How long was the request processed?

Does this issue occur when exporting a single mailbox?

    Thanks,

    Simon

  • I hope this reply comes out.

Try specifying a CAS with the -MRSServer at the end of you command.  How many items does the mailbox have?

  • Did you happen to be running the mailbox export powershell command on a different server than on the same LAN? When you ran the export mailbox did you schedule the mailbox export ? I noticed the export started close to 22 hours after the export was applied... There are so many possibilities to why this happened to you, More info required. I can say if you had 2003 or 2007 exchange and migrated to 2010 you could possibly have issues with the default smtp server located on the old server. With internal send/recieve connectors being replicated from settings currently residing on the old exchange box and AD. Check replication in the Domain, check your internal connectors between exchange servers (if you still have old exchange still running)

    Now for other reasons,

network bandwidth -- should your mailbox user be using his mailbox it is possible that exchange waited for the user to disconnect from exchange, backups being run on the server will cause export issues. Check connectivity by pinging between the exchange server and the remote box you use to connect. Let me know if this helps you to get on track and please post any and all logs for the export mailbox.

  • You might also want to try restarting the Mailbox Replication Service since the Export command relies on it.

  • Can this issue be reproduced?

If yes, I would suggest you collect a performance monitor log for further anlysis.

    Hope it is helpful.

  • Thank you.

I saw two Exch2010, and Mailbox replication service are running.

But in DC, I saw a lot of security-kerberos error and I found FileReplication service is stopped in DC.

    That is the cause ?
