  • Question

  • I get this error whenever I click on the send/receive button. I am using Outlook 2003 with SP3 and Windows XP Pro with SP2. I recently upgraded to office 2007. I was facing performance issue with it so I uninstalled it and re-installed 2003 again. Since then I am getting this error. Troubleshooting done - Needless to say repair and reinstall did not help.

    Tried "regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\ole32.dll" - no go

    Tried following:

    1) Send/Receive pull down menu

    2) Send/Receive settings

    3) Uncheck make this folder available offline

I do not have "Make this folder available offline" under Send/receive settings.

    Any Suggestions?

    Hi,

I understand that the current issue is, after uninstalling Office 2007 and install Office 2003, when clicking the Send/receive, the error “An OLE registration error occurred..” pops up. you have tried steps such as reinstalling/repairing Office 2003 and registering component ole32.dll, but not work.

If there is any misunderstanding, please feel free to correct me.

According to my research, the issue may cause by a cached profile of Previous Outlook 2007, you probably not re-create a new profile after reinstalling Office 2003.

At this time, please remove the current profile and build a new profile to check result.

  • I have same problem on Vista running OUtlook 2007.

Registering the DLL gives me an error: "The module ole32.dll was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x8000ffff."

Where is the Outlook folder in Vista so I can clean it out?

    Thanks.
