Do you know if internal DNS names still resolve and are there DNS forwarders configured? Do you have off-peak hours at this office where you could schedule a DNS service restart - for example, nightly?

Thanks for response. I don't know it's working now so hard to check. I think there is a way to add secondary DNS such as Google to be handed to workstations, but can't seem to find documentation on how to do that.

Hi,
We can configure public DNS server (such as Google you had mentioned) as DNS forwarders:
If you use Windows DNS server, open DNS Manager -> right click your server name and open its properties -> select Forwarders tab, click Edit to add public DNS server.
Besides, we can configured public DNS server as Alternate DNS server for client ( via TCP/IPv4 Properties):
If you use Windows DHCP server, we can use DHCP option 006 to specify DNS sever configuration for your clients.
