SP1 Beta, UM Role Problems RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I try install SP1 Beta on server with the roles CAS, HUB and UM.

During setup, when the setup starts installing the upgrade on a role UM, an error occurs.
Based on the experiences of others pessooas, suggest uninstalling the role and apply SP1 and then reinstall the role.

SP1 was applied without problems, restarted the server and when I go to install the UM role, the following error occurs:

    Unified Messaging Role Prerequisites

    Error:
This computer requires Microsoft Server Speech Platform Runtime (x64).  Please install the software from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=180958.

OK, I download and install the Server Speech.
I start the setup again but continues to say he is missing the: Microsoft Server Speech Platform Runtime (x64).

    Any ideia?
    Thanks!

  • Dear C-rod,

I had the same problem with the speech runtime, it should be the older version 10.0.7135.0 and not the newer one.

  • Holger:

Running Exchange 2010 SP1 Rollup 5 and installed the UM role.  Just wanted to let you know that with Rollup 5 installed you must use the 10.1 Speech runtime or you will get this same error.

Attempted over and over on the 10.0.7135.0 version but no luck.  As soon as I installed 10.1 it worked like a charm.
