Public folders Replication issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

We have recently joined one new exchange server 2003(server name mail3) to existing network.

Existing network email servers are Mail and Mail1 – both are Exchange server.

We have problem in replication or synchronizing (public folders data) between Mail3 to Mail and Mail1, In details as below.

Any E-mail sent to public folder received by Mail3 is not synchronizing to Mail and Mail1.

Whereas E-mail sent to Public folder  received by Mail and Mail1 is synchronizing to Mail3.

Could someone please help me on this.

I have checked message tracking on MAIL3 using from field mail3-IS@test.com to mail-IS@test.com and mail1-IS@test.com and  I am able to see there were mails going through but when I checked users who are on mail and mail1 they cannot see updated public folder messages which are send through mail3.

    Regards,Bala

  • Hello,

Run isinteg on the public folder database.

If you encounter any replication issue again, you can raise the diagnostic log level by the following steps to see the root cause.

    1. Open ESM, locate First Organization >> Administrative Groups >> First Administrative Group >> Server

    2. Right click on ServerName and select Properties.

    3. On the Diagnostic Logging tab.

    4. In the Services box, select MSExchangeIS >> Public Folder.

    5. Please raise log level for:

    Transport General

    General

    Replication AD Updates

    Replication Incoming Message

    Replication Outgoing Message

    Non-delivery Reports

    Transport Sending

    Transport Delivering

    Thanks,

    Simon

  • Hi

Are there any firewall between the servers?

The SMTP port 25 is open?

Does the mailflow work between the servers? Test it with a normal user mailbox

  • Thanks for reply Jonas,

Yes, port 25 is open. we tested with normal user it's email's(mail3) it's working.

all the mail servers are in same network. It's not in firewalls.

    Thanks
