I have a mix of Exchange 2003 & 2007 servers in my Org and we also use ISA 2006. Our current owa address is https://owa.company.com/owa
I have just installed Exchange 2010 into our Org - 2 NLB Client Access server and 2 Mailbox servers. When installing the first 2010 Client Access server I told it to use owa.company.com during the configure CAS external domain step.
When I migrate a test user from 2007 to 2010 I get the following error when trying to logon to OWA from the Internet
Use the following link to open this mailbox with optimal performance
Is the a way for Exchange 2007 users and Exchange 2010 users to use the same url for OWA ?
As a test I created an OWA rule in ISA pointing it to Exchange 2010, I moved this rule above the current OWA rule and applied.
The results from this were: Exchange 2010 users could open OWA but Exchange 2007 users could not.
