SCOM 2019, SharePoint 2016 - Can I use two Run As Accounts for one management pack?

Question
-
Morning,
I think the answer to the "two run as accounts for one management pack is yes, maybe?? I cannot find a good answer.
My issue is that in SharePoint (2016 and a couple of earlier versions) you have a config file that has to have added in it, the name of the account that sharepoint is going to use and the sharepoint servers it is going to access/manage.
So, I have a svc-scomspa_q and a svc-scomspa_p account. In my SCOM 2012R2 environment, I have separate Prod and QC/Test setups, so none of this is an issue.
In my DR environment, I only have on SCOM 2019 DR server to manage both QC and Prod DR servers.
Any assistance and pointers greatly welcomed!!

Hi,
Yes you can use multiple Run As Accounts, just make sure to add them to the SharePoint configuration file.

Hey Leon. I figured that is how it would have to work. I am just not sure where in the config file I would add the second account and servers? Any examples you know of?
Thanks as always,

The SharePoint config file (Microsoft.Sharepoint.Library.MP.config) is located here: %ProgramFiles%\System Center Management Packs\ on the Operations Manager Root Management Server (RMS).
You can view the SharePoint management pack guide on how to configure these:

Morning and thank you. I understand that this has to be modified. My question is, how/where do I add a second "SharePoint Discovery/Monitoring Account" to the configuration file.
My accounts are named:
SharePoint Prod Discovery/Monitoring Account
SharePoint QC Discovery/Monitoring Account
Each has it's own list of servers and since I have only one SCOM 2019 environment for my DR environment, I am banging my head trying to figure this out.
It may not be possible....
<Association Account="SharePoint Discovery/Monitoring Account" Type="Agent">
<Machine Name="" />
Thanks as always!

So you have multiple options, the config file doesn't have to be used, some use it, some not.
Easiest would be to simply create multiple Run As Accounts and select the objects for the Run As Account to be used.
If you're using the config file, you should add multiple "Association Accounts" if you want to use multiple accounts.

Simply adding a new <Association> block with a different Account="xxx" should work.
If you want to understand what's really happening behind the scene, here is the script that runs when you start the "configure sharepoint task" (and therefore reads the config file and use it to configure stuff in SCOM) : https://systemcenter.wiki/?GetElement=Microsoft.SharePoint.Library.ConfigSharePoint&Type=Task&ManagementPack=Microsoft.SharePoint.Library&Version=16.0.11426.3000
