Install Exchange server on wndows 2008 member server of Windows 2003 Domain

    Question

  • At this time am in deployment of 2010 in test lab.I have a Windows 2008 member server which is member of Windows 2003 sp2 domain.Can i use that windows 2008 member server to
    install Exchange 2010 ?

  • Absolutely, you will just need to make sure that the domain functional level is set to Windows 2003 to support Exchange 2010.

  • Yes, I have similar test environment. Just make sure that you have Domain and Forest functional mode of AD to Windows 2003 native and second requirement you already have Windows 2003 SP2 DC.

  • Thats a good build to go with, many people have been using that build with Exchange 2010

  • It is a requirement. Without it none of the remote powershell stuff will work and you won't be able to use many if not all of the commands.

  • When i try to install Powershell v2 on windows 2008 R2 its sayed there is a early version of powershell.But there is a no powershell in futures of  Server manager .

  • Hi Chinthaka,

    Server 2008 R2 already have Powershell installed as part of the OS, you do not need to install this pre-req for R2.

  • When i try to install Windows report management (Its a MSU file) exe its popup The update is not applicable to your computer.
