Hi,
no blob storage can only be reached on HTTP/REST
however, you CAN mount Windows Server to Azure File Storage

If you are trying to backup a VM I would look at Azure Backup or Azure Site Recovery rather than trying to write to Blob storage directly.

Thanks. Do you mean we can mount azure SMB file storage ? How did veeam backup mount resposity to do 3TB file backup? Azure VM can mount blob storage?Monday, August 14, 2017 1:26 PM

Yes, you CAN mount SMB file storage to Windows/Linux VM IF you select Azure Files as storage.
Once share is mounted you can use Veeam to backup your whole VM (mounted share included)
