Remote Wipe from ECP logged in as an Administrator not working

    Question

  • We have been trying to test out the Remote Wipe option from the OWA ECP.

    Logged in as a Domain Admin, we select the users Mailbox, hit Edit under Phone and Voice Features, Click on the Device then select Remote Wipe.


    After the warning is displayed, the following error comes up:

    The Web page isn't loading properly. Please reload the page by refreshing your Web browser.

     

    Is it possible to Wipe a Device whilst logged in as a member of the Domain Admins group from the OWA ECP?

    I can successfully send a Remote Wipe from the Exchange Management Console whilst logged in as a member of the Domain Admins group.

  • The similar error message can appear in the following situation (Exchange 2010 RTM + Firefox), which has been fixed in the exchange 2010 SP1. So, please check the browser type on the problematic machine, and the exchange 2010 version

    Please check if there’s any related error event in the application log on the CAS server

    Please check if the issue can be reproduced on a newly created mailbox

    Please increase the diagnostic logging level on the control panel component
