Send to Mail Recipient with outlook as Remote App RRS feed

  • Is there a way to enable the send to mail recipient command on  the client machine running outlook as a remote app.  The client machine in running Windows XP Pro SP3 and the Server is windows Server 2008 Standard with Microsoft Outlook 2007.

  • Hi Derek, unfortunately there's no way to get explorer or any type of shell integration with an app launched as a RemoteApp.  RemoteApp launched apps are run as fully hosted apps on the server with the client portion being just a method to see and interact with the program.  You can do send to mail recipient from within the host server, but of course that defeats the purpose since you are already using outlook in there.

  • I am not talking about remote app, the users login into the server with RDP client.

  • I have heard, we are not using AppV yet that there is an interation with desktop or something like that you can set in the properties of the app.  It is set to no by default and setting to yes allows the email intergration to work. 

    That was dealing with send to outlook out of Adobe anyway.
