Exchange 2010 Outlook 2010, Offline Address Book Not Updating/Downloading to Clients RRS feed

  • Offline address book had been working fine for many months, but today, a few different users on different workstations reported some new contacts added last week were not in the offline GAL, so I checked the GAL from my PC and the contact was not in my copy either.  However, the contact is in the online "all contacts" address book.

    I tried manually downloading the address book from my Outlook 2010 and nothing downloads.  The progress just hangs at Processing.

    I updated the GAL in the EMS, updated the OAB in EMC and restarted the Exchange File Distribution service then restarted Outlook and tried redownloading the offline address book again and it still hangs at "Processing" and never downloads any updates.

    How can we troubleshoot this further and get it working again?
