  • Hi All,

I need to add colculated column.

I have data in PowerPivot sheet. like this:

    type	org_name	bonus	salary
    type1	org1	0.00%	0.00%
    type2	org1	100.00%	0.00%
    type3	org1	49.70%	50.30%
    type4	org1	86.60%	13.40%
    type5	org1	75.00%	25.00%
    type1	org2	89.80%	10.20%
    type2	org3	0.00%	0.00%
    type3	org4	0.00%	0.00%
    type4	org5	0.00%	0.00%
    type5	org6	90.90%	9.10%

I need to add columns where need to write results:

for each org_name i need percentige of bonus each type (type1, type2.. etc)   in whole  bonus (type1+type2+type3+type4+type5)

can someone help me how to write this expression?

    Thank you in advance

  • If you want to see the result for each org_name (aggregating the individual types) then you should probably be using a calculated measure in a pivot table, not a calculated column. If that is the case, then assuming the Salary & Bonus columns contain dollar amounts and not percentages, try adding the following measure:

    Pct Bonus = SUM(Bonus)/(SUM(Bonus)+SUM(Salary))

then put Org_Name on rows in your pivot table.
