Change default "From" account when user forwards mail from shared mailbox RRS feed

  • We operate a number of shared mailboxes. When users who have access to these shared mailboxes want to forward email from the inbox of the shared mailbox to another user it will fail with an NDR stating " You do not have permission to send to this recipient" I don't want to give the users "Send As" permissions on the shared mailbox. If the user clears out the contents of the From field they are able to forward the email since it then appears to come from them and not the account linked to the shared mailbox.

     

    Can I change this default behaviour so that the user doesn't need to perform this extra step?

    We are running Office 2003/2007 and Exchange 2003 SP2.
