OWA 2010 Users Can't Attach Files

    Question

  • Any type or any size file they receive a dialogue box with this error message when trying to attach a file.

    The action you tried to perform couldn't be completed because there's a configuration problem on the server. If the problem continues, contact your helpdesk.

  • Please check the followings as well:

                  => Check EWS under VDIR - under SSL setings - check wether require certificate is checked

                  => if Yes then please change it to ignore certificate

    Try disalbing silverlight and see if you can attach files.

    Also check your bindings in IIS.

    Can you check the EWS virtual directory settings on the server resolve correctly.

    Get-WebServicesVirtualDirectory -Server | fl *url*

  • Hi,

      This is a known issue this happens due to OWA virtual directory corruption - Please delete the existing OWA VDIR from IIS MANAGER and recreate it.

    You can use shell for creating new owa virtual directory:

      New-OwaVirtualDirectory

    Please run IISRESET on your CMD as administrator - Issue sould get resolved
