FEP 2010 client install on server, but managed by GPO (reporting to SCCM server) RRS feed

  • Question

  • The scenario is as follows:

The company has a SCCM infrastructure and all the Windows 7 clients have a SCCM client installed. All of the Windows 7 clients have FEP 2010 installed and are reporting to SCCM.

However, due to cost issues none of the servers have a SCCM client installed. They want the FEP 2010 client installed on their servers (replacing Symantec) and a GPO is imported to set the FEP policy on the servers. So my question is, is there any way these servers can report any status from FEP to the SCCM console? Or will they remain unmanaged?

Without the ConfigMgr client, the FEP client cannot report status to the ConfigMgr server.
