FEPInstall.exe returns error 327424 ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am installing Forefront Endpoint Protection as a core application on my Windows-7 build, using MDT 2010.

The Application is installed from MDT using the command line "FEPINSTALL.EXE /s /q", and FEP installs fine, and works OK, except that the MDT script shows an error in the install, indicating the FEPINSTALL returned an error code of 327424

What is causing the error return code?

  • Hi...

I think you can ignore this error (I've recieved this error too...).

Skip this error in MDT sequence...

  • I tried all sorts of stuff, and in the end just suppressed the return code from FEP by putting the instalation into a batch file as follows:

    FEPInstall.exe /s /q /o /runwgacheck /policy "\\MDTSERVER\deploymentshare$\applications\Microsoft FEP\Default Desktop Policy.xml"
    exit 0

    Hope this helps someone else!
