Issues with Administrator rights on WIN2008R2 server accessed remotely RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm a software consultant -and have two clients for which a remote connection with a service (administrator) account doesn't work like an administrator account should work.  I'm told that the account  doesn't have workstation policies applied, but...a right-click on a directory only allows me to create a folder, not a file.  I can't install a service from a DOS prompt (a requirement of an application I install) unless I run the cmd prompt as an administrator.  In addition, I have no control over IE rights - I'm locked out of changing security settings.  This is so frustrating and the clients haven't been able to resolve it.  What are some things to check?
