WSUS editions

Hi
I'm wondering wich edition of WSUS use:
- Windows 2008 R2
- Windows 2012 R2
- Windows 2016
This is because when I used WSUS of Windows 2008 R2, aparently I had no problems, but with Windows 2012 R2 at the beginnig all worked very well, but around 2 monts later the clients began to have problems to reporting and get updates.
2016 I haven't used.
The kind of clients are Windows 7 to Windows 10 any versions.
So, should I have to work with 2008R2 is better than 2012 R2?
What could be your advice?

Hello Doc,
Glad to help.
I saw your another post which described the reporting issue by using 2012 and I already have provided some method to resolve your problems. Please check if it works.
However, I use windows server 2016 in my lab and it works well. So I recommend that you use server2016 because it is the latest version and provides the best support for Windows 10.
Hope above answer helps and look forward to your feedback.
Best Regards,
Ray Jia

I'd recommend a read of my 8 part blog series on How to Setup, Manage, and Maintain WSUS.
