Recover SQL Server database from Windows Backup

Hello,

When we recover a system (complete files and folder recovery), does it recover the database ?

Or, can we recover an SQL server 2005 database from a windows backup ?

This is a french forum here ..

But we can answer to your question :-) As far as I know the Windows Server backup tool uses VSS to perform a backup of SQL Server. My thought is you can recover a SQL Server database with this feature.
