Key Value Pair exchange functionality on Linux HyperV Virtual machine. RRS feed

  • Discussion générale

  • Hi,

On our product , on top of HyperV 2.0 , we use KVP Exchange item to inject datas from the HyperVisor to the Windows VM , by writing them in the VM registry.

    Great !!!

Now let's have a look to Linux Virtual MAchine .

As far as I understand following sentences ( Linux Integration Services document) :

After Linux Integration Services are installed on the virtual machine, Key Value Pair exchange functionality is activated. This allows the virtual machine to provide the following information to the virtualization server:

 Fully Qualified Domain Name of the virtual machine

 Version of the Linux Integration Services that are installed

 IP Addresses (both IPv4 and IPv6) for all Ethernet adapters in the virtual machine

 OS Build information, including the distribution and kernel version

     Processor architecture (x86 or x86-64)

How may I to inject datas from HyperVisor to a Linux Virtual Machine ?

    Any idea is welcome.

    Thanks for help.
