I'm trying to backup with a Tivoli Fastback my windows 2008 enterprise servers, using volume shaow copy services. We have 4 node cluster for file sharing. To increase the level of complexity we have Symantec Storage Foundation 5.1 installed on our servers to manage LUN's mirroring.

Hi there,
I currently experiense the same error as rdegl, but on a W2k8 R2 Cluster with SP1. LUNs are managed with VSF 5.1 R2 SP1. Backup will be created with IBM Tivoli Storage Manager 6.2.2.2, but the error occurs with wbadmin, too.
I found out that it only occurs if the node controls not all dynamic disc groups provided by Veritas. Of course the mentioned hotfixes above don´t apply to R2... Any suggestions?!

Hello,
I also have the same issue with W2k8 R2 SP1 Veritas Cluster and IBM TSM 6.2.3.0.
Anybody have a solution?

Hi Andy, Yves,
If TSM as well as wbadmin fail due to suspected storage management problems, there should be pointers in the Veritas Volume Manager and OS System logs that would help to determine the cause.
The suggestion is to log a case with Symantec, I would be interested to assist with this.
