Routing End User to Another Page after they submit the InfoPath Form

    Question

  • I have been asked to have the end user after they click SAVE and Cancel Button to be sent to another SharePoint Page.

    How would I do that using the Save and Cancel InfoPath Buttons. As right now I only see how it takes you back to the InfoPath SharePoint list.

  • Hi,

    You can add a Script Editor web part or a Content Edit web part on the form page and enter the following code in the web part.

    Use F12 to get the ids of Save and Cancel buttons on the page. Change “<id of the button element>” to the ids.

    <script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

    <script type="text/javascript">

    $(document).ready(function()

      {

          $('#<id of the button element>').click(function() { window.location.replace("http://<destination page>");});

          $('#<id of the button element>').click(function() { window.location.replace("http://<destination page>");});

      });

    </script>

  • I actually ended up using this

    <a href="http://&Source=<URL">http://<URL>&Source=<URL>

    Seems to work and was quick to implement.
